The current system involves complexities across NAPS optional trade, designated trade, Joint Apprenticeship Action (JAA), and National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). These overlaps and inconsistencies often hinder effective deployment of apprenticeship programs.
Key Recommendations:
- Reduction of Complexities: Simplify the framework of apprenticeship schemes by creating a uniform policy that integrates optional trades, designated trades, JAA, and NATS under a single streamlined structure.
- Best Practices Sharing: States with successful apprenticeship models (such as Maharashtra and Gujarat) should be studied and their practices shared with other states. A centralized platform for sharing success stories and innovative strategies can serve as a valuable resource for replication.
